Guess what? Three things I love reading are magazines, books, and palms. I’ll bet you didn’t know that about me. One of my fave reads (besides my own book) is The Hunger Games series. Don’t let this surprise you. It’s a fashion fiesta, mixed with gorgeous, desperate, starving, thin people fighting to survive–basically fashion week x 1000. I am obsessed with all the books, and have been trying to figure out who I have to sleep with to get an advance copy of the movie so I can have a private screening in my home theater. I avoid going to actual movie theaters whenever possible. Too many bodies, laughter, sniffles, germs, children, old people, regular people, etc.
Some genius, who should really be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, had the brilliant idea to come up with a line of nail polish inspired by The Hunger Games. Each polish name reflects one of the districts in the book. In order to tide myself over until the movie comes out, I’ve ordered the entire collection of colors from China Glaze, and have been getting a different manicure every day. So far, my favorite colors are Foie Gras, Stone Cold, Smoke and Ashes, Electrify, and Luxe and Lush. Good luck choosing your own, and keeping your temper in check with your manicurist.
