When you lose a loved one, whether it be a dog, cat, friend, hair stylist, waxer, cousin, lesbian aunt, trainer, or grandfather figure, it can truly ruin your day/month/year. But the reality about death is that it’s not totally over. If you believe in reincarnation, as I do, then it’s just a matter of time before your recently deceased gardner comes back into your life as champion race horse that your dad purchases on a whim.
In other words, nobody ever truly leaves this earth forever. So when you are feeling sad about a loss, just look closely at all of the living things around you. You may think you are staring at an orchid, but you very well may be staring at your great grandparents or your elementary science teacher. I have no idea what life forms my soul has inhabited prior to my current one, but I do know that it was definitely not a penguin or a polar bear because my soul fucking hates the cold. My shaman has confirmed all of this by the way.
