Ask Babe: Thinspo

Dear Babe,

Is it weird that I look at old pictures of myself for thinspo? From like 6 years ago, aka when I had just started puberty/high school.

I’ve already lost 15 pounds.

Are you kidding me? Of course it’s not weird. In fact…It’s a must!

If you used to be skinnier than you are right at this moment, then you should always have a nice iPhoto album, right on your iPhone and iPad that contains glamorous pictures of you at your best weight.  If you are feeling weak, or having an urge for something caloric you just swipe through your “Thinspo” album, go in a bathroom and cry for no more than 45 seconds and then you should be good.

I have a whole room in my house that is plastered with pictures of me from age 7 through 12 and a half. I was so fucking skinny back then it was rude. Seriously, it was not to be believed. I go in that room at least once a day just to be inspired. Usually it’s in the morning when I’m mapping out my food/drink plan for the day. I don’t think I could survive with out that fucking space.

Bottom Line: Keep on doing what you are doing. You are smarter than you think.
